      • Progressive smoothing of cellulite.
      • Legs feel lighter.
Directions for use
  • Apply the required amount directly onto cleansed, dry skin, before any cream, on the affected areas: legs, thighs, buttocks.
  • Ensure penetration by gently massaging from the ankle up towards the thigh ("upward strokes") to promote venous return.
  • The fluid texture of the Pure Active penetrates the skin quickly. Then apply a Pure Skincare product according to your skin type.

When ?

  • Mornings and evenings.

For who ?

  • For all those with water-based cellulite and/or whose legs feel heavy.
  • Not suitable for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women without medical advice.

  • Heat, tiredness, menstruation, standing about or repeated stationary positions are factors causing legs to feel heavy. Remember to move regularly, adopt a balanced diet and sleep with your legs slightly raised.
  • Cellulite is primarily a female problem: 85% of women over 20 years of age are affected by these unsightly accumulations of fat tissue which are frequently resistant to diets (according to the studies by Rawlings in 2006).
  • Caution, the term "cellulite" covers 3 different types: water-based, adipose and fibrous.
  • Water-based cellulite, essentially due to water retention, arises in subjects with poor blood and lymphatic circulation.
  • Effects on skin? Legs feel heavy, with visible cellulite.
  • Which active substance is recommended? Aescin Pure Active (A92).
  • Adipose cellulite consists of accumulations of fat tissue located on the thighs, buttocks and sometimes the belly and hips.
  • Effects on skin? Visible cellulite.
  • Which active substance is recommended? Caffeine Pure Active 5% (A90).
  • Fibrous cellulite tends to be located on the thighs and knees, it is hard and painful when touched. As it has been in place longer, it is the most difficult to get rid of. It should be treated with suitable massage techniques (palpating-rolling) capable of "breaking" established fibrous dimpling. Effects on skin? Visible cellulite. Which active ingredients are recommended? Caffeine Pure Active 5% (A90) in the morning and Aescin Pure Active (A92) in the evening.
  • Several Pure Actives can be used at the same time; there is no need to mix them, simply apply successively directly onto the skin. However, we advise against using more than 3 simultaneously, as the skin is liable to be become saturated and less receptive to the active substances.
  • Use within 3 months after opening, for maximum efficacy.
Efficacity proven

Aescin has a core action on the skin to:

  • Reduce water-based cellulite.
  • Reduce feelings of heavy legs.

    Scientific history

Aescin is a molecule extracted from horse chestnuts, the fruit of the horse chestnut tree. This majestic tree is known for its longevity and sturdiness. Imported to Europe from Constantinople several millennia ago, the horse chestnut has always been of interest to scientists. Aescin is now a reference active substance used in many medicinal products to improve circulation (heavy legs, rosacea, haemorrhoids, etc.). In dermatology, Aescin is valued for its venotonic, draining and stimulant properties.

    Opinion of the dermatologist

Aescin is well-known in the medical field for its anti-oedematous, anti-inflammatory and venotonic actions. It is an ingredient in many pharmaceutical products for treating heavy legs. However, its use is also of interest for cellulite, particularly when associated with circulation problems. As cellulite is difficult to combat, simultaneously applying Caffeine 5% (A90) and Aescin (A92) Pure Actives can produce good results. Aescin Pure Active should be applied by massaging in upward strokes to promote venous return and stimulate lymphatic drainage. It is important to note that a balanced diet, high in fibre and low in salt, and regular exercise can also help reduce cellulite.
